Bloodworks: New CKUT magazine focuses on HIV/AIDS

This Monday our new Concordia student interns, Greg Todaro, Tinah Dembele, John Maclellan and Alejo Briones, co-hosted their first episode of Bloodworks!

Bloodworks is a new radio magazine that focuses on topics, news and discussions related to HIV-AIDS. It will be airing on the Monday Morning After show every 1st and 3d Monday of the month.

The magazine is a collaboration between CKUT radio and Concordia’s HIV/AIDS Project.

Migrant Dreams focuses on the controversial Temporary Foreign Worker Program (Screening Oct. 17, 7pm)

Today, the Monday Morning After show Stefan Christoff talked with Marisa Berry-Méndez, from the Canadian Council for Refugees, about Canada’s Temporary Foreign Worker Program and all the controversies and issues surrounding it.

This program is the focus of a new documentary called Migrant Dreams, which will be screening tonight at 7pm at Concordia university as part of the Cinema Politica screening series.

Rendez-vous de la Francophonie on the Monday Morning After at CKUT!

Have you been following the Rendez-vous de la Francophonie podcast series every week on the Monday Morning After Show?

Rendez-vous de la Francophonie is an annual celebration of Canada’s membership in the Francophonie and promotes the French language and its numerous cultural expressions.

To help celebrate Rendez-vous de la Francophonie, 22 NCRA member stations, among them CKUT 90.3Fm, participated in producing 30 minutes of audio which will be aired across the producing stations and offered to other NCRA stations.
